Study Activity

Goal

Drag all matching symbols to their corresponding location in the center of the screen, to unlock the temple doors, before time runs out. Make sure to remember all matching symbol pairs, as they will be used in the Decode activity.

Game Play

Set inside an ancient tomb, the Study activity begins with the view of the first of three locked doorways. Each doorway consists of two large double doors with two symbol tiles set on either side of the locked doors. These central tiles are marked with a pair of symbols (used later in the game). The central tiles are covered with obscuring marks and dirt. On each side of the temple are two tall obelisks, each containing four tiles. Each side tile is marked with a unique symbol. Two of these symbols (one from each side) match the central symbol. Match each symbol on the side tiles by dragging them onto their corresponding symbol on the locked door. As the Study activity progresses, the symbols in the center will become more challenging to identify by becoming increasingly obscured.

Drag Tile – Press and hold a tile, drag it to the correct location on the tomb door.

Tips

CLINICIAN INFORMATION FOR Study

This game gets more difficult as the player discovers more temples. The first temple found provides the player with a symbol pair that they must learn and remember for later. The second temple found, combines the previously discovered tile pair with a new set of tiles to learn. The player must remember all pairs of tiles as the game progresses.

Throughput is the number of correctly matched pairs of symbols made per minute. (processing efficiency is measured using throughput) The higher the number the better the score. This measure of organization is based on Mateer's Model of Executive Function and captured from the Study mini-game.
