Attention, memory, and concentration are the most frequently reported symptoms following brain injury1Cattel-Horn-Carroll (CHC) Model of Cognitive Abilities . Attention, memory, and executive functions are related and interdependent (2Lezak, Neuropsychological Assessment 5th Edition (2012)) in both neural circuitry and function. Theorists disagree on a conceptual framework with which to define these complicated processes. Furthermore, cognitive abilities overlap with one another and are influenced by emotion (anger, anxiety), behavior (frustration, impulsivity), and physical problems (pain, motor impairments). In the following pages, we define the specific cognitive domains and subdomains that are challenged in the game.
