Fainting

If any of the character’s energy drops to zero, they will faint and receive a penalty, which will affect the player in the following ways:

Fainting can occur from fatigue or exposure, as explained in the following sections.

Fatigue

Fatigue occurs when a character’s actions cause their energy to drop to zero. Make sure to keep an eye on energy levels and refrain from using a character that has low energy. You can avoid fatigue by eating food and increasing energy.

Hint for Clinician: If Books or Rusty are low on energy, consider moving Dan to their areas, rather than moving Books or Rusty, as this will minimize energy loss for Books and Rusty.

Exposure

Exposure happens when a Game Day ends and characters are in an area that does not contain a shelter. While characters in a shelter regain 20 energy, characters that are unsheltered lose 30 energy. Make sure all characters end their day in an area with a shelter!
