End of Day

At the end of each game day, an End of the Day sequence informs you of the following information:

The first part of the End of the Day sequence shows the effects of what happens overnight. Characters will regain 20 energy units if they sleep in an area that has a shelter and lose 30 energy if they sleep in an area that has no shelter. As the picture on the right shows, Books, Carter, and Dan spent the night in a shelter (represented by the Base Camp Star) and will each regain energy. Rusty did not sleep in a shelter and will lose energy.

The second part of the End of the Day sequence shows the game day that just ended, the percentage of the map explored, the current level of difficulty set for each Activity, and the number of gold bells collected.

Treasure of Bell Island incorporates dynamic difficulty balancing, which automatically changes the difficulty based on a player's ability. The goal of dynamic difficulty balancing is to keep the player interested from the beginning to the end and to provide just the right level of challenge for the user. If the game is too easy, the player might become bored; if it’s too hard they might become frustrated.Dynamic difficulty balancing remedies this issue by creating a tailor-made experience for each player. As the players' skills improve through time (as they make progress via learning), the level of difficulty will also increase.
