Line Crossing is a gamified version of the classical evaluation Test of Visual Neglect1Albert, M. L. (1973). A simple test of visual neglect. Neurology, 23, 658-664.. |
Line Crossing Evaluation
The Line Crossing evaluation consists of seven rows of single lines drawn at different angles. The client must "cross out" each line by drawing a mark over the top of them. The game is over when the client presses the Next button or when time runs out. Because this evaluation compares outcomes between the right and left sides of the screen, the four lines in the center row are not scored.
The framework of line positions consist of seven columns of lines. Each column has six lines, except for the center one which has only four.
Line Positions
Once a client draws a mark on the screen, RESET automatically checks to see if a line intersection has occurred. If the mark intersects with a line, it stays visible; if it doesn't, the mark is hidden. Only one line may be drawn at a time.
Note: | Once the client has advanced past the tutorial, the clinician should not give any feedback regarding whether the client's mark crosses a line or not. |
At the bottom of the screen is the Next button, which ends the evaluation and takes the player to the results screen. The player may press the done button at any point during the test.
